Round table: The Royal Armed Forces in peacekeeping operations around the world

As part of the activities organized by the Euromed Institute of Legal and Political Sciences of the UEMF, a conference was organized within the Eco-campus this Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

This round table which was held around the theme: “The Royal Armed Forces in peacekeeping operations in the world” was moderated by Lieutenant-Colonel Mohcine Nadi, senior officer of the FAR and lecturer at the Royal College of Higher Military Education (CREMS) and the Royal Gendarmerie School (EGR), he is an expert in the reform of security systems and he has handled calls for peacekeeping operations in several theaters.

Lieutenant-Colonel Nadi specified that security issues have been a primary concern for Morocco since its independence. This is the reason why our country has resolutely made a permanent commitment to the United Nations in favor of peace and stability in the world, through the participation of the Royal Armed Forces in several peacekeeping operations. . A participation which has made the kingdom a true partner for peace which is not new.

Following his intervention, a rich debate with the audience took place around the role of the FAR in peacekeeping operations around the world and the strengthening of the capacities of the Royal Armed Forces in terms of interoperability and support to peace operations around the world.
