Biographie

Dr. Hiba Sekkat is an Assistant Professor in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at Euromed University of Fes. She obtained her Ph.D. in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in 2024 from the same university, with a dissertation titled “Integrated Approaches in Robotic Systems: Advancing Grasping with Deep Reinforcement Learning and Digital Twin Simulations for Domestic and Humanoid Robots.”

Her academic and professional journey combines a multidisciplinary background in Mechatronics, Mechanics, and Automated Systems, with a strong focus on intelligent and human-centered robotics. During her doctoral studies, she developed innovative learning frameworks for robotic grasping and manipulation using simulation environments, contributing to the advancement of adaptive and autonomous robotic systems.

At Euromed University, Dr. Sekkat teaches courses in Digital Electronics, Electrokinetics, Mechatronics, and Humanoid Robotics, emphasizing experiential and project-based learning. She has supervised numerous final-year and research projects integrating AI, control systems, and robotics. Notable projects include the “Welcome Robot”, a multimodal receptionist robot, and the “Ada Hand”, a robotic hand designed for dexterous manipulation and sign-language communication.
