As part of its Lecture Series for the 2025–2026 academic year, Euromed University of Fes organized a conference titled "Ibn Khaldûn, an Unclassifiable Thinker," led by Professor Abdessalam Cheddadi, a professor and research scholar in philosophy at the Scientific Research Institute of the University of Rabat.
This presentation allowed participants to explore the richness of Ibn Khaldûn's work, whose thought lies at the intersection of history, sociology, and philosophy. Considered one of the precursors of the social sciences, he proposed an innovative analysis of societal dynamics, power structures, and the cycles of civilizations.
The conference also highlighted the contemporary relevance of his work, whose concepts continue to illuminate current social and political transformations, attesting to the universal dimension of his intellectual legacy.
Marked by rich exchanges, this event provided a space for reflection on the foundations of Khaldunian thought and its lasting influence in the field of humanities and social sciences.
Through this Lecture Series, UEMF continues its commitment to the dissemination of knowledge, academic dialogue, and intellectual openness, by proposing themes situated at the crossroads of disciplines.
