THE EFFECTS OF ARCHITECTURE ON PEOPLE’S BEHAVIOR, EMOTIONS AND PERCEPTIONS

Subject

The effects of architecture on people's behavior, emotions and perceptions

Description of the subject

It is crucial to serve the needs and preferences of the people or community for whom the architectural project is designed.

Because of our genetic differences and complex brain makeup, creating “public” spaces that meet the needs of each individual can seem unnatural. However, it is impractical and impossible to personalize every public project for every individual. Therefore, a balanced approach is necessary to create spaces that serve as many people as possible, while also considering the overall characteristics and needs of the community as a whole.

This thesis project explores the importance of understanding the psyche of individuals when designing habitable spaces in architecture.
