Formulation of a new generation of composite biomaterial for bone tissue engineering

Subject

Formulation of a new generation of composite biomaterial for bone tissue engineering

Description of the subject

Bone substitutes constitute a main therapeutic option for the treatment of bone loss resulting from traumatic, cancerous or infectious events.
The latter are produced from synthetic ceramic-based materials (tri- or octo-calcium phosphates, two-phase materials). Synthetic materials can be combined with organic matrices with the aim of improving the biological properties of the latter. This project is part of the PHC TOUBKAL 2024 call for projects. It offers funding for a joint thesis between the Euromed University of Fez and the Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University. It aims to formulate a new generation of composite biomaterials to promote bone repair/regeneration.

Required profile
