EDS celebrates its cooperation with the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez

Congresses and conferences

The Sorbonne Law School (EDS) is co-organizing a conference at the end of June in Morocco with the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez and thus highlights the strengthened cooperation with this establishment.

Created in 2012, the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF) offers courses in collaboration with various institutions. Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne wanted to be a partner of the establishment with the idea of supporting the creation of an institute, EuroMed, dedicated to legal and political sciences.

In this context, a double diploma agreement at master's level in business law has been put in place with the EDS. The training takes place over two years and is provided at UEMF on the Fez campus. It is open to all lawyers holding a law degree and is particularly aimed at students from the Maghreb, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Europe. At the end of this training, students hold a double master's degree in Franco-Moroccan business law. More than theoretical training, it is also about training students in the region for careers as jurists and lawyers in international business law. Professionalization and international mobility are therefore two strong axes of this course.

Since 2016, the UFR 11 of political science has also been involved in this cooperation. Indeed, a degree in political science is offered to students with double supervision, both by the UEMF teaching team and by that of UFR 11.

On June 24, the two universities will celebrate their cooperation, which they hope to see expand, and will organize a conference on the theme: "Moroccan law on the restructuring of companies in difficulty in the light of French law." In the presence of Mostapha Bousmina, president of the UEMF, the invited French and Moroccan professors will debate these questions.
