The choice to locate Euromed University in the city of Fez is not accidental. The cultural and historical dimension of this city of more than twelve centuries, which hosts one of the oldest Universities in the world; Quaraouiyne, embodies all the traditional values of human openness and cultural symbiosis of Morocco, based on mutual respect and influence of the differences of culture and civilization of the region.

Its medina, classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO since 1980, is first and foremost a living museum of art and culture, where several creative activities coexist harmoniously, representative of Moroccan craftsmanship in all its splendor. It is also a popular destination for tourists in search of spirituality and a major place of pilgrimage, particularly for African visitors, because of the symbolism of the place, a space of knowledge and religion, given to it by its medersas, its mosques and mausoleums.

But beyond this fundamental cultural and historical aspect, Fez also constitutes an essential economic hub in the Moroccan development strategy. The geostrategic position of Fez on the Moroccan highway network, linking Tangier to Agadir, from north to south, and Casablanca to Oujda, from west to east, constitutes a nodal point in Morocco's logistics plan and the construction of the Maghreb highway, which will link Nouakchott (Mauritania) to Tobruk (Libya).

Therefore, we should not be surprised to note that this region is now concerned by most of Morocco's major sectoral development projects. Indeed, with regard to the automobile, aeronautics and electronics sectors, the integrated industrial platform (P2I) with an area of 425 Ha, in Fez-Ras El Ma will have to accommodate industrial activities, logistics and services linked to industry. A free export zone of 202 Ha is annexed to it.
