The UEMF medical service is open to the entire UEMF community: students, doctoral students, teacher-researchers, administrative and technical staff, guest teachers and interns. An on-call structure is provided at night in the University's student residences.  

Its main missions are:
 

• nursing care;
• first aid in the event of an accident;
• assessment of evacuation needs to hospital structures;
• study of the specific needs of students with disabilities;
• psychological support for UEMF students and staff;
• examination of medical certificates for students;
• examination of requests for exemption from student sporting activity;
• examination of counter-visit cases;
• monitoring of cases of chronic diseases;
• verification of hygiene in university restaurants;
• preparation of the medical file when hiring staff;
• monitoring of pregnant women within the UEMF;
• detection of professional risks and proposal of appropriate solutions;
• application of legislative and regulatory texts relating to health and safety;
• advice and assistance to staff in the choice of equipment and tools suitable for the work;
• conducting information and awareness campaigns (anti-smoking, STDs, blood transfusions, etc.);
• supervision of the blood donor companion;
• preparation of the annual report of the medical service for the Regional Employment Directorate;
• steering the UEMF health and safety committee.
